My name is Axel Steffens – I am the proud owner of Venngasthof Zur Buche and now also the proprietor of Nassenhof.
As a native of Mützenich, who was practically born into gastronomy, I moved back home from Cologne in 2019 and launched my own business with Venngasthof Zur Buche. My parents themselves used to run a restaurant in Mützenich, so I more or less grew up in the restaurant business.
Since then, a lot has happened – Venngasthof Zur Buche not only boasts a completely revamped overall concept, where the guest is always the focus, but it also flourishes anew and welcomes guests from all over the world as a Hotel Garni with bed & breakfast.
As of August 1, 2025, our guests will now find our Restaurant Zur Buche at Eupener Straße 80 in Nassenhof. With 50 seats, spread across two separate rooms – the bistro and the restaurant – our restaurant guests can now truly enjoy themselves. And if it’s a larger party? No problem! With our adjoining hall, we always have the perfect space ready for your cozy get-together.
We, the entire crew of the Venngasthof zur Buche and the Nassenhof, are always friendly and tirelessly strive to provide you – our guests – with an unforgettable stay. We are only truly satisfied and happy when our guests are too!
